You will find us a mixed community - part village, part commuter; with a spread of inhabitants ranging from singles, through young families to the retired, with a mix of permanent and temporary residents from all over the world. Since the 1960s the Twickenham Park Residents Association has sought to both enhance and protect the character and the amenities of this our neighbourhood.
As far as possible our committee is comprised of representatives of each road in the area. We have close contact with our GLA, ward councillors and local police. We actively participate in all local consultations, and will where possible send representatives to important Council or area consultation meetings to ‘fact find’ and provide representation and support where appropriate on behalf of the area. In recent times we have succeeded in obtaining an additional controlled pedestrian crossing, together with a major improvement at a second; pressure on our part prevented further unwanted riverside development; we also actively supported the campaign to retain the ETNA Community Centre.
Each June we hold a garden party for local residents and our spring AGM always includes a talk of local interest, we also circulate a newsletter twice a year. Membership at £3 p.a. per household is open to all residents payable to your nearest committee member - new members, new ideas and new committee members are always welcome!

.. Conservation Areas
Conservation areas are defined as areas of historical or architectural note, which it is felt desirable to preserve for their character or appearance. There are three such sites within the TPRA area; Beresford Avenue, Riverdale Road, Willoughby Road/Ducks Walk. For further details of what this means in practice - call 020 8891 7450.

With the exception of Beresford Avenue and part of Park Road, resident parking permits or visitor vouchers are required from 10am - 4.30pm weekdays. Weekend and Bank Holiday parking is free. Both resident permits and visitor vouchers are obtainable from the parking shop Holly Road Twickenham, proof of address is required. Visitors’ permits can also be bought from local shops. Half on the pavement parking is obligatory within the marked bays (such as Park House Gardens, Ellesmere and Riverdale Road). Do not park on the pavement unless you are in a designated marked bay, or you risk a ticket.
